Because every birth story matters.

I believe how we experience birth matters — for ourselves, our babies, and our communities.

I believe better birth experiences are possible — for everyone.

I grew up surrounded by birth stories. My mom was a nurse midwife, and I witnessed my first birth at age 12. Later, my own pregnancies and births became the turning point and inspiration that led me into this work.

My path to birth work began in community health as a perinatal home visitor. I also worked with families as a doula and peer lactation counselor. Those years taught me what real support looks like: listening without judgment, showing up consistently, and helping people access care with dignity.

I went on to become a registered nurse and worked on a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit, where I cared for families navigating complex medical needs. I gained a deeper respect and understanding of the full spectrum of birth and learned to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in fast-changing situations, while working as part of a team.

This strengthened my belief that respect and steady support are vital regardless of the setting and circumstances of birth. I also saw how movement and positioning can transform the birth experience, which led me to advanced training in The Body Ready Method®. As a certified BRM® Pro, I now offer individualized assessments and teach alignment, movement & mobility to ease pregnancy discomforts and prepare for birth and recovery.

My work centers on education and personalized support. I believe birth shapes us—and when people are cared for with respect, families and communities thrive. I’m passionate about improving outcomes, reducing disparities, and building systems where everyone feels safe and valued. I imagine a world where birth trauma is rare because respect, information, and collaboration are the norm.

Outside of birth work, I’m a musician, a mother, and so much more. I’ve played percussion with the Albuquerque-based band Mala Maña for over 15 years. Music and dance are my favorite creative outlets. They bring me joy and help me de-stress and connect with people.

I grew up in New Mexico and now live in Chile with my husband and two children. We came here to connect with my paternal side of the family and to give our kids the gift of bilingualism and global perspective. Here in Valparaíso, I play percussion with the group Armónika Modérnika and love learning new rhythms.

Goal for 2026: Travel to Ireland (my mom’s homeland) and learn more of the Irish language. ☘️
